Resumo

Towards the end of the first decade of the twenty-first century, experts from several countries met in the  millennial city of Lugo to discuss about the touristic management of cities in Galicia and worldwide. From Compostela to Riga, from Corunna to Florence, the studies in Touristic Management of World Heritage Monuments and Cities focus on places which, although different, share a great historical and heritage value. Each and every city is making its best efforts to maintain the cultural heritages and to make publicity to the world. Each heritage is a provincial pride and identity. Tourism is after all the recognition of provincial identity, and the right succession of identity and pride will lead people to a richer and happier life.
